Thanks mindgam...that means a lot to me...nice that you decided to put your business their way...I am sure they wont let you down.

I feel your pain in waiting for it now...I got mine just before Xmas eve...and it was very tight towards the end indeed.

Hope you will get some pleasure from seeing me having to sweat it out here :

That's heavy stuff for a laptop. Guess they can disable the uni server and use your comp instead...

lol, well i need power and useability over portability, but i need to go places with it every so often so thats why I chose a "desktop" spec laptop. Downsides are its fairly heavy and a bit bulky, but the katana seems fairly slim competitor considering the power and features it has. Plus with a 17" screen it never was going to be that small anyway ;)

No worries, you were the one who told advised me to take a look at them so its the least i can do ;)

Yes the waiting is a pain, a very big one. They said its in the building queue at the moment so my first build progess photo won't be arriving til sometime mid next week :(

Great to see your photos, hope im as pleased with my system as you arw with yours ;)

congrats! Thats sweet computer you have there...I wish I could have gotten a comp from Savrow, but the exchange rate right now is pretty bad making them extremely expensive if you live in the U.S. - they are expensive anyway..but the exchange rate makes it worse..

Yeah, my rents said the exchange rate was great when they went over to the states ;) Guess we can't have it both ways

They are fairly expensive though, but you get what you pay for and no other computer company offers the level of service as savrow. Alienware are probably the only make that comes close in terms of perfromance but i've heard their service and build quality are complete shite

Savrow offer a very personal service....they enjoy what they do...every PC is special to them and in someway unique....Alienware are a bit to much of a "production" PC to me....

BTW I have Plutonium 007...and as far as I know....its the only quad monitor Plutonium so far in piano black.

Savrow photo update:

Its just undergoing stress testing over the weekend so should be with me by tuesday next week. Theres been a few delays because of paint staff being on holiday but its finally coming ;)

Apparently the photos dont do the paint job justice but i'll hopefully take some that do when i get my hands on it ;) Still looks stunnign in my opinion though :D

NICE :D

just on a side note the mac G5 laptops are coming out around new years, so then would be the time to buy the G4 power books.

Bit too blueish, what do ya mean?

Its supposed to look like this, and considering the photos were taken at night with artificial lighting it looks like a pretty good match.... we'll see when it actually comes, cant wait ;)

I meant that we couldn't see too many high-lights on it, but i guss that is because the car has so many complex curves for relections etc...

I think you are right about the artificial light too :D

Some 3D Mark benchmarks (with Norton Antivirus running in the background)

Not bad for a laptop, especially considering the benchmarks are mainly based on graphics cards
