here are the features it has
http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/features.html

happy traveling

EDIT: just found how to turn on zoom  Sadly it only(as I have seen) American city's, no Europe
You have to press "USGS Urban Area" button on the top button menu and zoom in

Radome street in Washington

and here is same place by google

L.A. dodger stadium is is a quality close up or what?

and again same by google

Uploaded with ShellUploader.

So they use same images, only Nasa have them a bit more sharp but it dont have anything from Europe when Google have partually at least.

Yeah - they (Micro$haft) have been a huge partner behind the scenes at Terraserva - http://www.terraserver.com/ - so they probably have their grubby hands on the best quality data

After posting it I was wondering if it was worth it cause its 90% same as google, same maps, just few more goodies like animations of wilf fires, floods etc. Oh well...

Cant wait when they do some "map" with full good-or-high-res coverage of all city's.. that must be ALOT of work for them and ALOT of space in theyr servers to store it all
