Default Secret Societies control the world!

not that most of us have much information regarding them, and even if we did... it may not be wise to publish...

but heres a list some of the worlds most secretive groups... perhaps they really do control the world?

i dont want to sound like Moore...
fear is a strong emotion...
it worked great for decades as the western world feared the soviet union... then the 90's came, and a new fear was placed for a time in global warming, and havoc within the environment. today, we worry about loss of power, and gasoline prices... with a priority on terrorism. did these groups plan this, and many other controling plots? not nessisarily

Skull & Bones
The Illuminati
The Jesuits
The Knights Templar
The Priory of Sion
The Rosicrucians
Ordo Templi Orientis
The Golden Dawn
The Club of Rome
The Bilderburgs
The Knights of Malta
The Bohemian Grove
The Freemasons or Stone Masons Guild
The Hashishans or Assassins
The Trilateral Commission
The Council on Foreign Relations
The Shriners (not just clowns, im serious)

The Freemasons

They used to be a huge group with lots of doings, then it all fell apart when the head honchos tried to kill someone. Now it's basically a social group that does stuff for their local communities.
My grandfather was in it. I got all the stuff when my grandfather died. Cufflinks, tie holder dealie, ring, the Bible and the sash thing. The only time I remember ever seeing him wear the sash was at weddings.

Everything has this symbol on it: the compass and ruler

well, it wasnt a head honcho who tried to kill somebody, but rather a small town's local chapter who had a discruntled former member about to publish a book of all things mason.

this took place in america in the late 1700's .

years ago, my grandfather, and great grandfather etc. were quite well to do bankers, and in the upper classes of america. they were in the Masons... somewhere there are books about the activities; i must say, however that there are more then just local levels of the group. even today

There was a one hour show that the History Channel did on the Freemasons. They just said that at one time, they were a scretive group with power. They said that nowadays, they don't have any power.
They even showed their goofy intiation ritual with swords and skulls and all things wierd.

Lol, Thats one of my favorite episodes! Patrick Stewart is great!

Back to the topic though, I am a member of a Fraternity, which, to an extent is a secret society (we have our ritual and handshake, etc.). About the ceremony (the goofy one with swords that you mentioned), it may look goofy from the outside, but initiations are a solemn occasion, an assimilation into a brotherhood. It's a bond that I share with thousands of my brothers across the country. I know that I can show up to any chapter house in the country and be welcomed as a brother, even though they don't know me personally, that bond to me is very special, and I imagine it would be difficult for someon not of a secret society to understand what it means to be part of one.

I believe the Jabba World downloading club also qualifies here as a secret society -no one knows who they are - they move about as wraiths, shadows in the night, quietly laying down the law in automotive land.

And talk about the initiation procedure .. the blood letting, the pledge of absitinence, dancing on the grave etc ... don't want to reveal too much for you noobs
