Wasn't impressed! Last weeks was much better. Hypnotism was fake and annoying.

SLR was impressive if totally flawed! Really don't see the point. Who want's that over an SL55?? Anyone whos into driving would never buy a car with an autobox and brakes that are an on/off switch. They would go for something else. And people who don't mind automatic with fake brakes, would not be able to tell the difference between SLR and SL55. Was fast though, but proper mclaren, porsche gt and enzo would anihilate it!

Paul McKenna: 'What's that?' (pointing at the steering wheel)
Richard Hammond: 'That's... um... the big control'.

Totally agree about the SLR, though. And see how cramped JC was inside it, too.

Which statement do i required experience for? I have experience of hypnotism, i have experience of the kind of people that buy cars with autoboxes. No i haven't back to back tested the enzo, porsche and mclaren (unfortunatly!) I'm just going on what road testers/journalists are saying. as 99.999% of the population has to.

i don't think they would beat the SLR by that much at all. I mean the SLR did already crush the pagani zonda. how much more do you think those cars can beat the zonda by?

Not sure by how much, probably more than you think. In autocars "worlds fastest car" article, the zonda c12s was beaten by the Noble m12, 911 gt3 and tvr 350c. All by over 2 seconds on a 1:20 lap. Was the top gear tested zonda even the c12s? Was done a while ago, the original zonda 'only' had 500 bhp. The SLR is also 400kg heavier than enzo, carrera gt and zonda. And 600kg heavier than the real mclaren!! (there are cars that weigh much less than 600kgs!!) And all but the zonda have similar if not more power.

wow! the zonda looks badass but i guess it can't hold its own anymore. though, it did beat the 911GT3 on the top gear track. the lotus excige even blew the 911GT3 away. i want the new elise so bad. i am definitely getting a used one after college.

If my memory serves me well, the Zonda's time was on a wet track, so we can't count on that. We must also consider these cars on different tracks, with different settings and different atmospheric conditions. They're all very fast! 8)

The Zonda was done in a wetlap. The car was sliding around, i'd say the car lost atleast 2 seconds due to the wetlap.
