Default My new 993

Hello all,

Haven't popped in here for a long time (in fact the last time I did the forum had a different name!), but I've just bought the car I've luster after since I was a teenager so I thought I would put up a few pics

It's a 96, black on black, Carrera 2, with the Varioram engine, 35k miles, leather sports seats, near as mint condition, and I bought it for a very reasonable price last week! Driving it is a blast, and the sound is unbelievable

Rear 3/4:

Love that ass!

Close up and personal

Can you tell what my favourite part of the car is yet?

The front isn't too bad either

Straight on. Get out of the way when you see this in your rear view mirror!

Little bit dirty...

17" Cup alloys... will get the 18" turbo wheels on there eventually, but no rush

Functional interior, no drama here (blurry pic, sorry)

Love the high-back seats. Total support

View from the driver's seat

What you don't want to do is squeeze behind this seat...

And into this one!

Outside again

Might get a silver badge to replace this one...

Fat exhaust. Will put some red lenses instead of the ambers. Again, no rush

Rear spoiler comes up at speed

From the back...

And the side...

That's it, show's over

Will take a few sound clips and upload them as it sounds truly awesome

Edit: Custom shots provided

Last of the aircooled 911s and for me the best!!! Keep it mint, and im sure u could even make a profit on it if u sell in a few yrs time, theyre definitely up and coming modern classics, and theyve probably hit near on rock bottom in price now (at least in the UK), seems to have the options (high back seats) and once u get the alloys on there it will b lusted after (by me anyway!!!!).

P.S. Was expecting u to give it some in the vid lol!!!!!!

Thanks everyone

It's been my dream car as far as I can remember so I don't plan to ever sell it (unless a nice C2S comes along). It was a very spontaneous purchase. I'd been looking at 3L Z4's and almost bought one, but this 911 came along and made me spend twice as much. I was lucky enough to call the previous owner 5 minutes after he'd put it on autotrader (yeah, i used to spend a fair amount of time on that site). Since I was the first to call and arrange a viewing, I was the first to see it, first to buy it

Pokiou, it's not the most comfortable car in traffic, but it's not the worst either (that award goes to a 360 Modena which deafened me in one hour of heavy traffic driving). And when the road clears up, it all becomes worthwhile

Very, very nice.

I love the 993 era Porkers. Classic 911 with some modern looks.

Looks like fun and I am sure you are having a blast with it
