nope. the rules says you can 'skip' chicane as long as you don't pass someone, since alonso was ahead of him b4 he entered the chicane he didn't break the rules, yet if he passed button he would of been in trouble (but it was still a cheap move)

But you gain time if u skip a chicane tho........in what situation is this skipping allowed? If there's no rules, then everyone will be skipping it as long as they didn't gain positions.

But you gain time if u skip a chicane tho........in what situation is this skipping allowed? If there's no rules, then everyone will be skipping it as long as they didn't gain positions.
i still say its clear he gained the position through skipping the chicane.... he didn't have enough room to brake proper when "overtaking" the BMW
