Meh, I really couldn't care less about that ratings crap and the tags. Outside of that, it just seems like a prettier XP (on the surface).

I am running Vista 64bit on a workstaiton at work.. and it is a bunch of eye candy
But everyone demanded it.. all those whiny macusers who complained that windows didn't look "all poofta".
Well, now you have it as poofta as mac ever was

How much slower compared to similar machine running XP? (using the souped up theme version)

Running a beta OS at work? I'd still use XP SP2 + various dozens of patches.
i hope it's stable. ^_^

I have the beta as well, but I think I'll wait for a final version before I risk installing it on my PC.
I'm a bit... disappointed in Windows though. Now Vista just looks like Mac's OS. So now what? They've conceded to Apple? Even though I prefer using Macs, that's a bit ridiculous.

Some have speculatied that the real reason MS announced a delay on the release of Vista was because Apple delayed their developers conference from July to August. Guess they needed time to copy what will be announced during the developers conference.

I still dont get how something looking like that and Windows Vista folder weighing over 2gb yields to a faster computer.

Although I like the new eye candy, I'm really embarrassed to see Microsoft blatantly copying Mac OS. Its disgraceful ops:
Edit: That video was legendary
