Default R&T: F430 vs enemies

I think this was especially written for our long term buddy, RC 45 :

"Including a Ferrari in a comparison test is a no-win situation for the marque from Maranello. For if it wins, readers say, "Of course it won — look at how much it costs!" If it loses, suddenly the Ferrari is a huge waste of money."

Its strange they didnt pick a Z06 instead. It would have been a more fair comparison.

My car versus a 430.. For the price of a 430 I could have 4 c6s and a civic to drive to work. What were they thinking?

They were thinking of the best V-8 sports car, not the best in value.

Then why not take a C6 Z06? It is a loads better V-8 sports car than the C6 Coupe - at any value point.

What he said - but then again, the "rest of the readers" would be upset their "winning at any cost" F430 would have come in second

But when asked which car everyone loved driving the most, it wasn't even a contest — it was Ferrari's F430. So while the Corvette LS3 gets the honor as our favorite V-8, the Ferrari F430 is our favorite V-8 sports car.
Now you see why they choosed the F430, because ITS PERFECT TO DRIVE!!!! not for the power, price, glitter which every car has, even a VW Golf

By road course do you mean drag strip?

According numbers Ive seen.. 4095 lbs.

For comparison sake.. A c6 z51 weights 3217 lbs. Itd be like slaloming with 2 nfl linemen in the corvettes trunk. Then again, the corvette is only rated to carry 400 lbs..Before It equaled its curb rate itd prolly break the suspension.

All subjective - these days I have to upshift 2 gears and run half throttle so a F430 can even keep up...

Different strokes for different folks - and the bottom line is, run what you brung.

Its winter - no Ferraris are runnign either

And I shoudl be coming back with some special custom bits - I think we might get about 720bhp NA out of this 427 without much more effort.

i was just replying to the fact that you said a Z06 would have beaten a f430 in a comparison, i have never seen a Z06 beat a f430 in a comparison test. As for Camzilla, no question in my mind it would absolutly destroy a 430 with that monster engine.
