Default Chinese cars and their translated english brochures

Translation provided by Car and Driver
http://stage.caranddriver.com/autosh...brochures.html

I think they will have more trouble entering the market than Korean cars.

BYD F3 Sedan

Product Literature: “The engine combines MVV technology with ECU ensuring the F3 with fuel efficiency stomach.”
Translation: “It uses technology to reduce fuel consumption.” Just like every other vehicle built since 1971.
Product Literature: “Safety cage construction aligns the latest in steel technology with strengthened armor plating.”
Translation: Not “The car is bulletproof.” But maybe it won’t collapse on you in a collision like earlier Chinese cars .
Product Literature: “Excellent quality & untiring pursue: Inherited the most advanced manufacture gene of the world, and engrafting international quality control system, F3 is absolutely a brand-new vehicle that owns the top-ranking quality.”
Translation: “China does a great deal of manufacturing, and its quality is second to none.” As anyone who has read a newspaper in the past year can attest, this claim may be exaggerated.
BYD F6 Sedan

Product Literature: “No matter what kind of transmission you choose, the world will run after you.”
Translation: “The engine is powerful and the car fast.” Again, this claim may be exaggerated. It depends on your definition of “world.” Goats and those driving Smart Fortwos with two dead cylinders and three flat tires will indeed run after you, but others will run—or amble—ahead.
BYD F8 Folding Hard-Top Convertible

Product Literature: “Convertible hard top controlled by electro-hydraulic power; opened and closed smoothly full enjoyment of the touch of the wind…. Only 25-second whole opening process reaches the world top level.”
Translation: “The power-folding hard top’s 25-second opening time is on par with segment leaders.” This is true. It is also true that the front-end styling is litigiously “on par” with the Mercedes-Benz CLK-class .
BYD F6 DM (Dual-Mode Hybrid) Sedan

Product Literature: “Under the duel mode system, the vehicle can work under both pure electric mode and mixed power mode, and then realize the integration of energy economy, environmental protection, efficiency and convenience. Ironmental protection, efficiency, and convenience.”
Translation: “A true two-mode hybrid, the F6 DM can operate solely on electric power or use its electric motors to supplement the gas engine.” Either that, or dueling sabers are stashed in the map pockets for settling position disputes at the drive-through.

Geely MK Sedan

Product Literature: “Agility: MK drivers feel like kicking lighthearted dance in the streets, the incomparable pleasure brings you unlimited self-confidence.”
Translation: “The MK is a competent and fun-to-drive car.” Geely MK, the official car of a musical coming to a silver screen near you.
Liebao Black Giant SUV

Product Literature: “Liebao CFA2030C/D (Black Giant) is worked out by designing and improving the vehicle body front wing and quarter panel on the basis of original CFA 2030A/B cross-country vehicles…. The climbing capacity can reach 70%. The superselect 4wd system can be shifted at random. All of these can ensure the operation and transmission and can make you drive on the mountain and river and set free your enthusiasm.”
Translation: “The Black Giant is an evolution of Liebao’s CFA2030A/B SUV with tough styling to match its advanced off-road, go-anywhere credentials.” Alphanumeric model names only make sense to a point.
Liebao Fine Pickup

Product Literature: “The complete vehicle has a plump contour…. The personality configuration, such as electric window lifter, hydraulic booster, central locking, a superior air-conditioning system, creates an artistic conception of human & vehicle integration, which attaching more importance to safety.”
Translation: “The warm, friendly appearance of the truck is reflected in its inviting, comfortable, and safe interior.” As it is a four-door pickup, it is possible for “artistic conception” to take place inside.
Liebao CS6 SUV

Product Literature: “Gene of being Wild: VM engine brings you the long-awaited shock…only by stepping on the accelerograph, the mph will come to the peak in a second.”
Translation: “The powerful diesel engine is very responsive.” If bringing the “long-awaited shock” is anything like bringing the pain, then this suggests lingering quality issues.
Product Literature: “Move you in a moment. No splurge, nor scrupulousness, but only pureness…. In fact, even the Liebao CS6 runs over beside you, tightly grasp your eyeballs will be the pure metropolitan feeling reflected by its appearance.”
Translation: “The smartly styled CS6 will turn heads with its upscale appearance.” Either that, or it will run over your head, and your eyeballs will pop out and stick to the unscrupulous fender flares.

Hmm, I think China should definitely stick to simply making other people's cars on licence. I mean, this line says it all: 'In fact, even the Liebao CS6 runs over beside you, tightly grasp your eyeballs will be the pure metropolitan feeling reflected by its appearance'.
