I have actualy seen a black murcielago replica, this one actualy had a supercharged V8 (guy says it came from a wrecked saleen s281 mustang) and it was absolutely sick, you could not tell the difference at all, aside from the obvious power shock coming from the turbo 8 it could actualy back up its looks pretty well

Very nice, 8 grand seems quite expensive, but for that kind of accuracy It may be worth it. Here is another pretty good one, Fiero based..... Just needs an engine swap

You are not doing any replica for $8,000. A decent set of wheels, tyres and brakes is $10,000 right there.

You are not going to build a replica for $16,000 either.
To get a decent performing handling kit of anything, whetner AC Cobra or GT 40 or Murci, Factory 5 GTM etc you will need to spend $70K at least. Hell, even a fullbore Caterham Superlight will set you back $60,000.
ANything less and it is a crap clone that will not stop and turn half as wellas the real deal.
And an 11s 1/4 without the rest of the handling is pointless. NO netter than an 11s Civic at that point

I cannot afford a lambo, I have a wife and 2 daughters along with a mortgage, now if I was single and still in search of badge... I might think of getting a replica murcielago, just because it would be a chic magnet, the fact that it is not as quick as the real one, I'd keep it on the down low, nobody has to know

this would be as pointless if not more so than sticking a LS1 into a 240sx (and I have seen that one done)
just the engine from a veyron will cost as much as a brand new LP-640 so why even bother with it?

I think the quality of chics you might be attracting with a fake Lambo you could just as easily hook for $100 and some booze at the corner
