Talk about iPod envy. It's as simple as this. You won't get what all the fuss is all about til you've tried one at length.

The 4G iPods will be available in 20GB ($299) & 40GB ($399). The previous (3G) iPods are most definately be offered at a discount. Good opportunity to try one out if you found it too extravegant for the wife not to notice.

Nope that's what I use my PC for. The iPod's an invitation to get mugged.

Ahh - I see.. so the iPod is actually a promotion tool for the pro-gun lobby.

Afterall, you will need to be able to fend off the muggers..

Actually, no. You could use the expensive shiny part of the iPod to bash the head in of the assailant. The hard disk inside can sustain the beating.

Seriously though you could use the iPods as a portable hard drives if you want to move (or steal) data around. A few weeks ago the UK Ministry of Defense(?) issued a warning about the evils of the iPod.

Yes they did and I even posted a thread about it. Sounds good about the new storage size for the Ipod Mini. But I would still get the original. Something about it makes me like it more. psh...you're just waiting for the discounted 3 gig mini evoWALO

Mini-Disc all the way! You can fit a lot of music on'm as you can switch disks, and as easy as an mp3-player with the net-md's.
And a huge pro with those things, if you have some friends that are dj'ing, just put the damn thing into the turntables and record the entire night.
And then we're not even talking about the difference an MD has over MP3 when it comes to audio-quality!
Hmm....who seriously uses MD anymore these days. you know MP3 technology has taken over.
