Isn't it too early to make a judgement?

Scirocco-esque looks are a big plus though. I'm really liking their crisp clean design as opposed to the baroque mess it's been in the last 5 years.

It shouldn't be any bigger or heavier. Isn't the platform still the same?

I'm pretty sure that this new model won't be a lot heavier. VW is seriously trying to improve the fuel economy and cut emissions nowadays, and weight will kill your MPG.

It looks wider, but also lower. Very much like a Scirocco from the front, just a bit taller. My guess is that it is a lot more aerodynamic than the old version, reducing drag and helping with the fuel economy. Very cool looking, IMO.

But we'll see what's what when it is launched for real.
