HA! I knew you would all be speechless! its really quite the accomplishment. And when you add up all the vehicles we previously owned, my father has driven over a million kilometers since I was born (1987). Too bad it absolutely destroys the resale value on every car we've ever owned. Thats why u gotta run em into the ground. :fadein:

I'm really surprised about the condition of your car. Our winters are terrible for the car body. Good luck hemi_fan for the million of km.

Bu t it's only km's... Had that been 500,000 miles... then you would have impressed us.. ...
j/k - Thats more a testament to how well your family looks after their possesions than how well the car was made.
Well done guys..

"only" km LOL! 500'000 km is already a mighty achievement, even if the Accord will easily accept another 500k

I think a women driven a corolla to 1,000,000 ---> ie 000,000km in Canada, and the Toyota dealer she got it from gave her a brand new Corolla for her old one.

Wow, thats quite an achievement! My dad did some research, and the vehicle with the most mileage in the world is a Volvo. But the guy just keeps repairing it no matter what. The guy totalled his car, but he made sure they got it back to running condition to keep the record. The accord to my knowledge has had the following things done to it:
New steering rack
New driveshafts
ONE clutch (at 350,000km, and remember, new clutch has gone another 150,000 but I learned how to drive standard on that car, so needless to say, the clutch takes a beating)
ONE headlight bulb, believe it or not
Exhaust, not sure how many times...
new clutch master cylinder
AC conversion kit
batteries/oil/brakes twice/other reg. maintenance items
both the plastic things on the D/S and P/S doors broke (interior)
I think it also got some new bushings, not quite sure...
thats all I can think of now... I kno for a fact that the head gaskets are original, never taken off... and the tranny has never been touched. It also gets 40-41mpg (mostly highway) on average, so if ur lookin for a good reliable car... get a Honda
