Default My New Lovely Car!

Finally i bought my lovely car!

i have been in Dubai arround 2 years now! and since im working with HONDA Dubai, my first car was Honda Accord 2.4 Lit 2006 model....

But... i think its time to buy a nice, elegant, sporty, and fast car,
after searching, test driving cars, i bought the 2007 Golf GTI DSG.

i took the delivery today! and im very happy!

Im waiting for the week-end to make some pics, and post them in what do u drive or ride!

It's just a way of paying to make your car less involving, I would rather do my own throtle blips thanks.

I understand that as a gearbox it is technically amazing but I would much rather have a manual.

The best application I have experienced so far was when fitted to a VW Touran taxi in Berlin, the upshifts were very comforatable an fast and it seemd perfectly suited to work as a full auto.

Great choice!

As you already know - you're gonna love the DSG. (It's not like you can't pick up a 5 speed beater down the road to have some fun with!)

congrats on the car, i'd prefer the manual too though DSG is surely fun for a while but i would feel less connected to the driving experience.

Congratulations on the new car! GTI's are really awesome cars, I had a good time test driving one w/ the DSG. Enjoy her in good health.

Agreed. DSG is an amazing box, but still not as good as a manual.

Still congratulations for buying a great car and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it, MUS911!

^ You're probably right, but because shifting and proper heel & toeing is such an important and fun aspect of driving pleasure to me, I would really miss that in a car with DSG box. I would gladly accept the traffic jam clutch work if I could keep my manual box...
