Default Would you do what you do even if you will not get payed?

For those who work, have a job or business.

If you will not get payed, would you work still, find another good payed job for a part time that will cover all of your expenses or win in lottery or simular? Or it will be the last day they saw you at work overthere?

Simply theoretically how many of you truly love your job or feel it is your mission to do it or so.

And please write what you do if its not a top secret

And please write what you do if its not a top secret

I have to say that if I had enough money on the side I might actually do my current job for nothing. I work at a small company with alot of young (my age) people that I get along with great, we socialise outside of work as we are all good mates (and a couple of the girls are hot!). So I have alot of fun at work each day.....

Not top secret, I work in electronics at a research and development company.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I hate what I do, because I actually quite enjoy my job. However, I would not work for free!

Edit: If I had enough money to not worry about a salary I would be running my own business working for myself, not working for a company.

I think most people know what I do for work so I shan't repeat it here (I'm in a private mood today lol)

I love what I do.
I am a freelance programmer. And I wouldn't stop doing it. I love knowledge too much and there is sooooooooo much I do not know yet. More than a lifetime's worth.

And I can attach programming to anything I love really.
Games - programming
Science - modelling
Cars - Engine systems etc.
Art (Audio and visual) - create, analyze etc.
Multimedia - Veideo encoding, decoding algorithms.

I easily spend upwards of 12 hours per day at my computers. Over the last 5 years...
Yes, I am a geek and proud of it!

I consider my education at UCI my job, since I do spend the majority of my time studying or in class. Even if I did have all the money in the world, I would still attend school to become educated and enlightened. That being said, I would maybe switch out of my biological sciences major(since it is so effin' stressful) to another major such as physics or photography, but the point is that I would still study.

Oh, I very much love my job, but I wouldn't be doing this for free. I need to earn money somewhere for my hobbies and a roof over my head.

I would work on my own cars and possibly family/friends cars for free, but no way would i work on a stranger's car for free I love working on cars, but there's too much bullshit to deal with to do it for free. I'm underpaid now as it is.
