Interesting test, finally some acceleration & skidpad numbers, and they just aren't that impressive. Not after hearing for 3 years that it would do 0-186mph in 13 sec, or 15 sec, or 18 sec, whatever they finally decided...

10.4s 1/4mi is fast, but isn't that about what the S7 TT and Koenigsegg CCX do? I'm very disappointed that they didn't get some track times out of it...

Speaking of tires, I've just read that a new set for the Veyron costs £17,000

Thanks for the scans btw.

You're welcome, everyone.

For the performance, yes, it does seem a 13-second 0-186 claim is tough to swallow. Compared to the S7TT, the Veyron is a little bit quicker, but the Saleen seems be catching up. The figures I've seen for the 750-hp S7TT are:
C&D
10.9 @ 140 mph

R&T
10.6 @ 139.8
10.8 @ 138.7 w/aftermarket muffler on an airstrip

Automobile Mag
10.9 @ 146
