It was also different last year when the superb Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano won over the 997 GT3.
I'm guessing the R8 is a bigger threat to the 430 Scuderia for eCOTY than the GT3 RS just because it has exceeded so many expectations. Trumping a decades-old icon, the 911, (according to most) must count for something...
