Often, pre-prod models are more "hand built" than even a hand built production Ferrari... and processes are changed that all too often are seen as no difference in production method, quality, reliability etc. It is quite possible the adhesive used wasn't on hot weather tested cars at all. This sort of thing happens all the time in the auto industry. 99.9% of the time, nobody will ever notice, or know.
