back in the early eighties of the previous century the Volvo 480 was designed with the export t North America as one of its reasons d'etre. Her design was even 'patented' in your country.
Due to a number of reasons: the very low value of the US Dollar against the Dutch Guilder being the main one and Honda selling their Accord Aerodeck at dumpprices in North America being another one, Volvo ultimately decided against it.
If she handles as nicely as other hatches ? 80 - 120 km/h acceleration in 8.5 seconds and the engineers of Lotus took care of her roadmanners. Who could ask for more
