...now if only I could read that  ...please post the translation...

the pics are of course photoshop...I'm almost sure the suv is an x3....and the espada is a 350z...which actually looks very nice....

Ian_yamaue 08-18-2004 01:08 PM

LMx looks cool, very Lambo, but the Espada is tooooo spookie, a lot thanks to the pic's perspective I think(hope).

DeMoN 08-18-2004 01:36 PM

proto looks good from headlights back. All front is exacly the same as gallardo, they should do something new for it. Wish I saw some pics of the back side of it. Where as for the 4x4, I didnt want to comment because I dont want that to be true =(

Fleischmann 08-18-2004 01:37 PM

I've said it before, I'll say it agian....bad idea wid the SUV. I know it's only a PS, but every know and then we here rumours about the italians planning to build this kind of automobile. But bringing back the Espada would be cool :D

HeilSvenska 08-18-2004 03:52 PM

Bringing back LM004 would be cool, but not that 4x4

translation from dictionary.com:

Sant'Agata is on half way between Bologna and Modena - in the geographical center between Ferrari and Maserati. The old Lamborghini center, a plain disk's building, transformed under the direction of AUDI into a modern Hightech hightech-Schmiede. The Germans brought the manufacturing on preceding endorser. In addition they would install a museum and a Designstudio. Long years was Lamborghini of the Underdog of the Italian HP aristocracy - notoriously scarcely with cash, from above dominated by Ferrari, from down presses by Newcomer such as Pagani and Edonis. But since Werner Mischke at the via Modena governs, the mark with the kampfstier pushes back into the first league. The man has ambitious plans: more variants, more achievement, more engine haven. And topsecret - three completely new models: • • a 2+2-sitziges Frontmotor Coupé in the style of the Espada • one of the LM002 bulligen lightweight construction Crossover inspired an absolutely compromiseless Murciélago successor according to kind of the legendary Miura sports association Jota. With the jeep Lamborghini turns back into a segment, which - exception Porsche - is served by no sportscar manufacturer. The LM00X is, then the Spatzen in Sant'Agata of the roof, many more radically and more consistent than the strongest Cayenne whistles it.

Someone slap lamborgini before they lower themselves to the level of making a SUV.

vexor 08-18-2004 11:53 PM

The LMx reminds me of the Cayenne from the back and especially from the side, but I don't think that Lamborghini should build SUVs. As for the Espada IMO I would like it but it reminds me too much of the 350Z and I don't like that car.

cho_888 08-19-2004 03:22 AM

ahh what a 4x4 that is disgusting! the other thing looks ok. but hell they are turning into porsche soon every second john smith will have oen

martin100 08-19-2004 12:37 PM

The SUV is kinda ugly, and the Espada is a bit too much 350Z, but these are very early prototypes so no need to worry :!:

360modena 08-19-2004 03:30 PM

Seriously kldconcepte Is it joke?? First i believe the pics but since I red Chaos in 1983 post, I have some doubt :?
After two AWD Lambo now a SUV for Madame, I know Audi is able to but a Lambo SUV :D

kldconcept 08-19-2004 04:46 PM

is not a plaisentery, it is well prevue a SUV & one 4 places

redbaron 08-19-2004 05:03 PM

It's clear to me that VW wants to earn as much money with Lamborghini as possible. I guess the Lmx will be a touareg with a different body and the espada a continental GT with a little Lambo-DNA.... It's just a shame, I.M.O they are destroying Lamborghini. In future a Lambo will be just another sportscar without the X-factor, just like many more, nothing special (anymore...)

HeilSvenska 08-19-2004 05:25 PM

I saw that coming since the launch of Murcielago

Preeeeetttty.....danke a007apl i knew that i could count on you. So the name Espada is dropped, eh? for Lagartijo? The name means Little Lizard opposed to Murcielago's bat. Apparently, Largatijo was an espada who spared the life of Murcielago.

"In the late afternoon of October 5th 1879, after a fierce fight in the arena of Cordoba, a bull named Murciélago from Joaquin del Val di Navarra's farm, had his life spared by the famous matador Rafael Molina "Lagartijo". This was a very rare occurrence in bullfighting, and an honour accorded only to those bulls that have shown exceptional courage and spirit in the arena. And Murciélago was indeed such a bull. He was subsequently given to the breeder Don Antonio Miura, and went on to father a formidable line of fighting bulls that extends right down to the present day."

I'm sure that you knew that already, a007apl

HeilSvenska 08-30-2004 11:25 AM

Obviously I knew that. But I don't know specific details about the names. Like Jarama, or 350GT and such.

Ian_yamaue 08-30-2004 01:39 PM

The Jarama (pronounced Yah-RAH-mah) was named for a district in Spain renowned for breeding fighting bulls.
The 350 GT, probably cuz of the engine displacement of 3.5 liters, I guess.

Nik^XeN 08-30-2004 05:16 PM

I told ya guys there would be an 2006SUV :P ,
I kinda like it.. but not very nice..

espen 08-31-2004 04:29 AM

The SUV looks a lot better than the Cayenne, but stuff a Murce V12 in there and I don't care bout the looks anyways ;)

The Espada looks too coupe-ish. The original Espada was a stroke of genious, and I hope Lambo will use the Quattroporte transaxle platform and provide real rear seats like on the original. (I know it says 2+2 but surely thats a typo )

Fucking brutal! BRUTALLLLLLLLLLLL!

I lost ALL OF MY RESPECT FOR LAMBO!

To me lambo is in the same boat as friggin toyota!

stradale 12-13-2004 09:22 AM

Don't be such a drama queen, Alex. It's only a badly done photoshop by some nitwit. The SUV is truly ridiculous.

When I look at sketches by Lamborghini in the link a couple of posts above this, I can only say I absolutely love it! Lamborghini has always had a tradition of fast, luxurious V12 2+2's, so it's about time for new one IMO.

tuem88 12-13-2004 03:38 PM

It's very smart from Lambo(VAG), since the Cayenne is the fastest selling Porsche EVER. So a successor of the LM002 would be a smart decision
And i like the idea of a new Espada, always liked that car :)

From a business point you may be right, but a Lamborghini built competitor for the Cayenne can not be a successor of the LM002. I would agree that a successor of the LM002, i.e. an outrageous offroad monster fitted with some creature comforts, would be in line with Lamborghini's past. But a Lamborghini SUV, like the Cayenne is to Porsche, would damage the marque IMO. I'm convinced damage like that is going to cost you in the long run.

maybe, but the LM002 was a lambo SUV, and it hasn't completely tarnished the name. perhaps that's cuz it was back in the day when SUVs actually went offroad, and we had a very different perception of what a truck really was.

in theory, i think it would be cool to have some competition for the Cayenne. and i think Audi might be developing a high performance SUV too.

aOp 12-17-2004 05:54 PM

The Espada will kick some Scaglietti-ass!
