I rather like this...the concept thing they came out with a couple of years ago...the one with suicide rear doors looked like crap, this has a lot of the same styling features, but looks oh so much better. I do have to say that the rear end is still a bit of a muddled mess though...too many conflicting styling bits and pieces...it's not very coherent.

Some big picks there, i think honda should lift there name buy putting a bigger engine to fit the supercar shoes a little more. I wonder what it will be made of and the price?
So nice big pics thanks altezza

This car looks nice. Just wonder if they wil keep this lines for the production model. But what kind of engine will it have?
P.S: Have you seen the Honda Valkyrie Rune 1800 Motorcycle? Check this out: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/newsandupdates/RuneFirst/. Hope you will enjoy it!

...wow, what an odd-looking car! The front looks like the current NSX (makes sense), the wheels are very concept-car-looking, and I totally agree with you Vansquish, the rear end looks too busy, as if they took four designs and just put em one on top of another...the rear end also somewhat resembles the new Skyline concept car.

i knew others will be copying ferrari showing the engine
correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't the NSX always had a visible ngine?

I gotta say, it's an absolutely stunning-looking car, but I do hope its engine is significantly better than that of the current one...not saying that the current one's bad, but for the way this car looks, it HAS to be REALLY fast. Also really good that they're moving to paddle shifters...like everyone else nowadays

wow, i was really looking foward to the new NSX. there was a sketch that was floating online a couple of years ago, and it does resemble that, but i tihnk i like the sketch better, cuz it was more conservatively styled. but what am i complaining about, it looks stunning. can't wait to see what they're gonna do with the production version.

The front looks good, but the back seems to be a bit short. Would be nicer if they smooth out the curve a little bit.

I think this car looks awesome!!!!!!!!!! best looking car from honda by far. the front and front lights look great. along with the back. hopefully it will have more power, although i'd say it will be close to 400hp.
They should take some of these styling cues for the next honda s2000.

Nice pics. Is it me, or is the design ripped off from the Enzo?

In my opinion it's mroe of a cross between the F360 and the Koenigsegg.
Even with that in mind, I think it looks great! Dump the paddle shift though, there isn't anything wrong with a proper stick.

It looks like it's half the old nsx, half the zonda.

Yeah, reminded me of the Zonda too... So it looks coool :D

I agree Honda 'borrowed' some styling elements, but it still looks pretty good. Until I saw the rear. What a mess... It could just as well have been designed by some wannabe car maker operating from a shed in the woods. If Honda is not going to change the rear, I'm not going to like this car.

It reminds me the Forbourd.
It's a very beautiful car, I think it'll be fantastic to drive!
Have you see?it hasn't got rear view mirrors, I think it should has cameras

anyone got some nice high res (1280x960 at least) pics of this car?

10-19-2003, 10:26 PM
WOW! After so many years Honda finally decided to give the NSX a totally new look rather than just another “face lift”. And the results are good, the styling is new and up to date as well as edgy. The old NSX is still a beautiful car and the recent face life is a plus, but after 10 plus years the NSX’s looks are tiring. I think Honda is giving the NSX the new look so it can be on the same level of look(s) as the Nissan Skyline GTR concept. I agree with BADMIHAI, it looks similar to the Enzo Ferrari.

Honda: The new NSX-R is the fruit of 12 years of passion and technological innovation, bringing man and machine closer together.

front looks amazing, rear end looks kinda funny, like its missing something. They shoulda made if flatter and stick out more.

I like it, totally new car, designed and engineered to be a proper driver's car.
Shame it'll be only offered with paddle-shifter, manual gearchange made by Honda are among the best in the world. Gordon Murray took the NSX gearbox as inspiration for the McLaren F1...

The front clearly looks NSX, I think the windows look very Enzo-ish don't you think? but to be honest I think it needs some side mirrors...but overall I think the next NSX should look something like this... as many other I still have doubts about the rear....but I like it..

Id pimp it !!! from the first pic it looks like the back of an enzo to me then in the third pic kinda like a wanna be zonda, but none the less it's fucking sick I would stoll that bad boy!!

That cant be a japanese car !!! I just cant believe it.
I agree the car seems to have "borrowed" a few styling elements.

The side looks like an enzo.
The back looks like a possible skyline replacement.
The trunk looks a bit like a zonda, and has the transparent cover that looks similar to a 360 ferrari.

but heck, it still looks pretty darn good. But isnt it a big short for a "super car"...hah. and that engine looks pathetic when compared to the likes of a zonda, but i guess thats not being too fair. :P

Some info:

The engine is a bored (and stroked??) version of the current 3.2 liter, with volume increasing to 3.5 L and output at "300+" hp. The transmission will be a new six speed sequential manual. The car's design places an emphasis on exotic materials--notably carbon fiber and aluminum; the aim is to bring about a similar change in design thinking as the previous NSX (which was one of the first cars to heavily use aluminum in any kind of volume production). There is also emphasis on light weight (which it will need in a world of 500 hp exotics!). Price is expected to remain near constant.

I really like it (except the back which is a bit tacky to me), and let me be the first to say that 300 hp is enough for me if it's in a good package. Can't wait for more details!

Awesome! Man I can't wait for that game to come out! The McLaren F1 made it in too (although currently they only admit a longtail race version is in--I bet (hope!!!)the road car is being kept secret until its release).

10-25-2003, 06:56 PM
I can't wait for GT4!! I'm buying the day it comes out!...hey just one question, I never knew why ferraris, lambos or porsches weren't featured on GT3? will they be in GT4?

TT
10-25-2003, 07:04 PM
Well, the official motivation is "licenses"... and IMO no GT4 will be the same...

Crap! :x I was really looking forward to drive Ferraris and Lambos, well too bad...why won't Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche give the liscense to Polyphony??

TT
10-27-2003, 07:07 AM
Not really sure afterall... in the last year there were LONG ASS discussions about that, but a real and true "why" is still not known as far as I know... so useless to keep trying to guess :D just cross your fingers :D
