Edit - OPS my site is down, I have to move the pics because they're not wroking damn...

With some words too ;) well, I arrived at the "Parc des Eaux Vives" with my g/f at around 2.30 pm.. I knew the cars where there from 10 am to 4 pm.. but it was a little different: not all the cars where there from the beginning, and the many arrived just minutes before the start at 6 pm..
And BTW, the list posted by st-anger in the other topic was sadly a fake.. just to tell us with cars are eligible for the race I guess

Before the cars, again a little intro ;)

The famous "jet d'eau" in Geneva: it's something really impressive: 140 meters high (466 feet). The water at the starting point has a speed of 200 km/h (124.. mph). You really have to see it from real

This was something crazy, I heard it from very very far away while I was down in the park eating a sandwich.. had to run up the hill (again) and found it parking and I can assure you the sound was something you can't forget! Great stuff TT!

You sure had a good day yesterday. The only cars missing were the Enzo and the Murciélago. Other than that, you can't be disappointed. Two Zondas, a McLaren, Gallardo, Ferrari 575, 550 barchetta, 360, F40, F50, Diablo GT, Vanquish. Man, that's one hell of a line-up! The Spades and Hearts are great too.

The Vanquish looks stunning in that dark colour. Why are they usually grey anyway?

Ok so.. my g/f was bored after some hours LOL!

No idea about the F40 :-/

As for the Murcielago, there was a black one, arrived to late for me to take a pic. Same goes for a 360 Challenge Stradale.. but both are in my short video :)

And BTW, the video will be available next month (nothing special and only 6 min long).. so stay tuned if you want to hear the scream of a Challenge Stradale or a M3 CSL ;) (and so on)

Sheesh. The McLaren was just down there to 'say hello to a few friends'? Man, I'd love to do that. Just driving my F1 down by the local speed shop on a Saturday, say hi to a few people, then just head off for some motoring mayhem on my own :)

We're working on it LOL! I shooted some minutes while the cars went away.. sadly all of them went the same moment, so it was hard to get them all, and more: there was a road with lot of traffic and the background sound is pretty heavy... but anyway, still some nice shots maybe... only 6 min long in all...
I think the video will be available in max 2 weeks :)

Hehe, I read everywhere it is very loud, but they should write it is VERY LOUD!
I don't know how the video will present it, but compared to other 360 it was another car! Like if it had no muffler ;) a Modena with Tubi Style muffler is far away ;) but I was much impressed by the CSL M3 too!

Well, as stated in the captions for the first pics, it was held in Geneva (Genève), Switzerland :)

As for the Vantage, it's impressive.. big and powerfull, but compared to such fine machinery, it was pretty bulky and rough to me...

It's a rally, but not like Gumball: you have x hours, minutes and seconds to get from A to B, the winning car is the one that manage it in the exact time, not faster, not slower. Usually in every leg, there are some official checkpoints and some ghost ones, counting for the final result too!
I already did such type of rally and it's very very hard, as you're not allowed to stop before the checkpoints or the finish line if you was to fast ;)

I'm sorry for you :( I could have resized them a lot more, but this was the best balance between quality and size ;)

Nono, off course you shouldn't have. I prefer to wait to see some nice pics then to save time for less good pictures!! I saved about 20 to my HD!! Seen from the back I still think the Ferrari 360 looks absolutely amazing and the new Stradalé even looks a little bit cooler.

Guys, the vid is ready! I have to say a BIG THANKS to Jabba who helped out a lot! W/o him, it was impossible for me to bring to you my video!
Hard to find ppl so nice! I sent the tape to him, the day he received it (was it yesterday or the day before?) he discovered my tape was pretty old stuff ;) the sort used during the Second WW I think ;)
So he found a SVHS-VHS adapter and today he ripped the tape, compressed and TAH-DAH!!
I'm very gratefull to him! the vid is maybe not top stuff, especially because the background noise is pretty high (beware with the volume at first), but I'm very proud anyway! It's my first video, I hope you will like :)

Oooo, this video sure is good for some wonderful sounds! We all know Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and Pagani's sound great. And for those that don't, just watch this video. The surprises for me were the Venturi's (loud, like racing cars), the Vanquishes (the exhaust note on those is absolutely fantastic), the Porsches (hardly noticeable and dark), the Viper (is it an electric car or what?!) and the Gallardo (very low and dark tune, wonder what it sounds like when you really rev it up).

Too bad the cars came by so close after one another. You could hardly keep up with the camera, TT. Also the second part was a bit of a shame. Damn traffic!

The end was great though. God, that Murciélago sounded evil on full song... BTW, was that you yelling after it had gone past, TT?

Lots and lots of awesome cars, I wish I could have been there! As for which car sounds the best, I'd say it's a tie between the Zonda and the F40's, they both sound wonderfull.

It was fantastic...and I have watched it twice more this morning...just like I always said though...Ferraris make the best sounding cars in the world...those 360's really were miles ahead of everything else...although the F40's and the F50 sounded like true track cars....also the EB110 was a surprise to me as well as the venturis for sounding better than I had imagined....

That video was awesome man, too bad the Mclaren didn't have a go on that little straightaway too. That 6.1L V12 is something else, and those Zondas...wow...I don't know what they did to that AMG engine's exhaust, but my god it was fruity and hard-edged at the same time...nothing else like it :o

BY THE WAY, ive been mentioning that the Pagani Zonda is a hell of a car on a few threads and the exhaust of this car on TT's vid prooves my point. HELL OF A RIDE that Zonda!!!! :D Its the best sounding engine and exhaust i ever heard. has to be cuz of the jet fighter plane type of exhaust.

I only just got to see the video. It's so cool seeing those supercars drive by slowly. All that bottled up potential, ready to get unleashed. Too bad only the first ones drove slowly. :D Oh well, if they rev up you can hear the engines. That's something too, I guess. :D

I didn't know that those Peugeot concepts are drivable. Many Venturis too. Are they that popular in Switzerland? I also noticed an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, one of my most desired cars.

This is pretty funny: they enter a rally and after one turn they're stuck in traffic already. :D

Cool, I'm very happy the Challenge Stradale managed to cross the finish line despite that LOUDness it carried with it along every single km ;) And great to see the F40 on the podium, the owner seemed a pretty nice guy!

The only name I know is Toine Hezemans, who finished sixth. He's a former racing driver, the father of Mike Hezemans and team manager of the Carsport Holland team, which used the Viper and now the Pagani Zonda.
