All that and it only traps 133mph? Like a turbo Civic - all that blow and can barely go

Doesn't look like they used launch control, good decision...

Remember it's on street tires and gtr is handling beast not some dragcar like c-o-r-v-e-t-t-e lol
I wonder what the gtr would on drag radial tires.

You might want to let the rest of the fanboi club in on that secret.. about the GTR being about "handling"... they seem to not use that trait when coming to its defense...

http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59884

p.s. - it is only Corvette-haters that preume to call them "drag race cars" - knowledgable people know that they are great handlers first, that happen to be quick in a straight line... factory stock Nurburgring times for 2004, 2006 and 2008 prove that

^ Well you trash talk the GT-R time and time again and your gonna get it back. I have no doubt that the Corvette is a great car and I think will all agree on this. I won't even call it out on "handling" because I know it's a good car Z06 and up. That's if we are talking stock & a real GT-R competitor.

Guess what though were talking quarter mile runs in this thread... the Corvette dominates this field as you know. In Australia your basic premium fuel is 95% octane... I run 98% in my car for every day driving... it's normal fuel that you get at the pump for only a little more. Japan's basic fuel octane value is even greater.

What am I trying to say?

This run is done without launch control, pretty much standard fuel unless your in the US and with the light tune + Street tyres in the 10's...mate that’s fast, not your “all that blow and barely no go” you talk about.

Hate on Vette’s? It seems the American car culture has taken the GT-R as a rival for the Vette… personally I’m glad Nissan had no intentions of making such a car.

You know I love Vette’s but I am no Vette F A N B O I.

I have no problem with the GT-R at all.

It is a fantastic car on its own merits and should have been presented as just that - "The new Skyline GT-R". Instead Nissan hyped this thing to the point of saturationn and irritation, even to the point of making such unbelievable claims that people began doubing the factory claims and "test" results

Seldom has the enthusiast world had such a hard time believing a fcatory with its claims - thats how badly they screwed up the intro press.

I have a problem with the Messiah-like status bestowed upon its "coming" - and then the scores of fanbois that were sucked into that hype and all you hear from these clowns (and some are adults)

Enough is enough already hehe
