Default Admin or non-admin

I sincerely hope this doesnt turn into anothe flame thread but i have to ask. Do you use your Windows box as an admin or non-admin?

I ask this because a lot of problems could be avoided if you just used it as a non-admin.

Yup, I have Administrative Privileges on my Mac as well.

Although I heard it is a bit safer running regular user model w/ no Admin privileges. (You could always just enter the password when require.)

Yeah, it makes sense that running with out admin rights prevents spyware and viruses from tearing apart the rest of your windows installation..

I'll have to test that out with my parents PC's..

Who cares? Only those in the know.

As in the *NIX world, you don't go around as root, you reserve root access for administrative functions.

As pointed out, without inherent elevated privileges many failures wouldn't even happen.

In my case ignorance is bliss. I dont have a clue what diffrence been a admin or non-admin on a pc does. Im not sure which one I am. I use my PC for the internet and have no problem.
