Isn't this the car that the M3 CSL beat by a few seconds 'round the Nurburgring?

Well, it better be a shedload quicker because I remember hearing that the CSL was a full 7 seconds quicker than the old CLK DTM car.

What do you think? It's a car that competes in DTM.

Nope, the CLK DTM that was tested at the Nordschleife was the production car, which has little in common with the DTM race car.

You really don't get it. The car that the CSL "humiliated" is not a racingcar. It's a streetversion of the Mercedes that competed in the "Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters". Once and for all you must understand that we are talking about a car made for the streets, just like the CSL.

I belive he is thinking of the Mercedes CLK-DTM, which is a road going CLK DTM car.

I stand corrected. I wasn't sure in the first place, like I mentioned.

But, since we're on the subject, how much quicker is the CLK-DTM race car (the one before this one) when compared to the CLK-DTM road car on which it was based?
