A Ford GT glided past me Thursday during late AM rush hour on the way to work. I was doing 70 when he went by. It was on the Southwest freeway heading South just past the spagetti bowl. The car was probably going 90 but it went by very quietly. I accelerated but did not ever catch up. The car exited at Kirby.
From my view it was very low, like the orginal.
Sitting still the car looks less purpose built than the original. The orginal was very plain especially the interior. The new car is much more gaudy.
I have only seen an original once. I have yet to see one again, even at the Monterrey historics, it appeared they were racing copies.
So as far as I am concerned, any day of the week, a real Ford GT is better than a Ford GT40 replica. Even if the Monterry historics will accept as being real.
