I finally got a peek at my Autocar when I was home last weekend, and unlike Clarkson, everyone who drove the car absolutely loved it, from the slightly muted version of an F1 engine note to the slick, positive gearbox, to the straight-line acceleration, they couldn't stop raving about it. The one thing that really separated the Autocar review from Clarkson's was that the handling was one of the things that they liked most. They said it was progressive at the limit and finely balanced...there were also some comments to the effect that if Porsche had been spending its time developing mid-engined sportscars rather than rear-engined 911's...they would've mastered the art of the automobile outright. As for the rear wing...I'm not sure whether I like it or not yet...it's fine when it's retracted...when it's up....I don't know, I kind of feel like it's a little out of place, something like the Veyron's is (But the Veyron is a hideous car anyway hehehe)
