Altho comparing the GT-R with all those cars is really apple vs orange, but nonetheless, it's a great read.

A great read, but openly biased.. note the use of positive adjectives and adverbs peppered throughout the poetic prose slurping up to the Nissan marketing engine... yet the author chooses to spew negative bile-laced rhetoric and pessimism any chance they need to describe the "enemies" points

Excellent article, GTR killed all of them, but its clear why, too much technology, a futuristic out of this world transmission and specialized killing spec tires.

I will be the first to admit that being able to mash the gas and just flip the gear paddle as you hurtle forward would be "awesome" and "fun".... for about 30 minutes...

There is nothing like the pure "driving enjoyment" of a well timed series of manual upshifts as you try eek the maximum potential out of a fully manual automobile.

Truth be told, an "average weekend Joe" like most of us, would be equally slow in either car

Why didn't they do a real comparo and use all the cars at each event? I think the Z06 could have taken the normal GT3 around the small roadcourse. I bet it would be less tail happy even with it's 505 hp.

So the Z06 beats the GTR to 80 . . . 80 is hit well before the quarter mile is finished so that means the Z06 is faster in the quarter. That would mean that Nissan's faster quarter mile claims are nonsense.

I can't believe Z06 was consigned to oh-so-predictable drag race. I expected more from Evo.

EVO started out as a niche publication that prided itself on doing what was "right" not "best selling", but now has to move towards the main stream and be a cash cow for the publisher

In other words, they "sold out"
