i find it kind of wierd seeing as usually car faxed only gets notifications when a cars registered.

I would technically classify it as a manual. Since it is a manual, but only has some fancy electronics, hydraulically actuated clutch and shift selector. A real automatic looks completely different from inside.
But that’s of course just another way of looking at it
