Thinking about picking up a TomTom ONE:
http://www.tomtom.com/products/produ...259&Language=4
This is a pretty new brand to the US, heard that it has been around Europe for a while, what does everyone thing about it?
Any good? Likes and dislikes?
Any other good alternative?

Every test or almost said the TomTom is the best option on the market. Sure, it's also the most expensive, but defnitely a good buy it seems

Why bother? A good street directory is far cheaper. But I have no money for such extravagances anyway. The TomTom is sold in Australia, and it's pretty well-regarded.

Yeah, this TomTom ONE just came out a few weeks ago. It is one of the few slim ones on the market right now. I am also considering the Garmin Nuvi 360, but that is about $200-$300 more.
I think in a month or two, you should be able to find the ONE for about $400 or less.
Thanks for all the input so far!!!

I've just read a review of the TomTom One, and its major gripes were the slowness of verbal directions and route calculations.

It was in a print magazine, sorry, no links. Once I can get an extended period of free time, I'll try to scan the article and post it up.
