David Beckham already lost not one, but TWO of his BMW X5s.

For every hundred or so stupid criminals that we feature on these pages, there are a few just as brilliant as their contemporaries are dim: look at the international group of hardware pirates who managed to build their own version of Japan's NEC Corp, or the laptop-toting thieves who succesfully stole not one, but two, of soccer football star David Beckham's BMW X5 SUVs by hacking the keyless-entry systems. In the last six months, the Real Madrid star and Mr. Posh Spice has seen two of his $60,000 vehicles lost to geeky criminals, with the most recent GTA occurring while Becks dined at a mall in Spain. Apparently thieves armed with a particular model's security schematics can jack into the car's PC and run software that dumps out the necessary codes for breaking the encryption, allowing them to unlock the doors, start the engine, and in some cases, even disable built-in tracking devices. Yeah, we're kind of impressed, but let's see these fancy criminals use their high-tech lockpicks to "hack" the cold, hard steel of our "Club LX."

that's pretty interesting. The reciever for the key remote is the antenna amplifier, and to control the central locking system they would have to "hack" into the general module and trip it. But this should really only be possible through the bluetooth reciever.

You would have to know the frequency at which the key remotes operate at, then figure out how to read the proper code, then find a way to manipulate that code some other way and transmit it to the reciever.

Once in the car, you would need to figure out how to talk to the EWS module, via AM radio signal, to find out which one of 200 rolling codes it, and the DME are on, and send that signal to the EWS.

But, then there is the problem of how do you get the ignition turned Without the proper key, the tumbler will just spin freely. And to get the electrical switch itself off, you would need to put yourself in a position that no car theif will ever put themselves in. And that's in an immobile, blind position. IE laying on your back under the steering column

Madrid: A criminal mafia that steals luxury cars for clients in eastern Europe is suspected of stealing David Beckham's BMW, even though his armour-plated 4x4 was equipped with the latest hi-tech security devices.

The Real Madrid striker had parked his BMW X5 in a shopping centre carpark in the Madrid suburb of Alcobendas while he took his two sons out for lunch on Good Friday.

When they returned, his vehicle was gone.

Beckham told the police he had left nothing of value inside the car, apart from identity documents and a sports bag, El Mundo reported yesterday.

For months Madrid police have been trailing a network of criminals who use specialised technology to break into luxury vehicles.

DAVID Beckham has been the victim of a gang of car thieves, who used hi-tech software to steal his £70,000 BMW X-5 from a commercial centre near Madrid, Spanish media reported yesterday.

The gang, which police say specialises in stealing luxury models, struck while the England captain and Real Madrid star was having lunch with his sons at the Diversia centre at Alcobendas, near his home on the edge of the Spanish capital.

The armour-plated four-wheel drive, fitted with the latest anti-theft devices for which Beckham had to use an individual ignition code, was taken from an underground car park. The thieves used software to start the engine electronically.

The footballer told police that apart from documents and a sports bag, there had been nothing of value inside the car, a newspaper reported.

Beckham is the fourth Real star to fall victim of specialised car theft gangs in Madrid. Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos have lost luxury vehicles, while Zinedine Zidane's car was stolen from the club's training ground, but was later recovered.

An average of 50 luxury cars a day are stolen in the city, according to police.

DAVID Beckham was handed a £70,000 car for free yesterday - days after hi-tech thieves stole his armour-plated BMW.

Beckham, 30, landed a posh Audi Q7 4x4 with £20,000 worth of extras - then took it for a spin on a race track.

Real Madrid's 23 star players each get an Audi every year as part of the club's sponsorship deal with the car manufacturer.

The England skipper opted for a 4.2FSI in phantom black with pearl-effect paintwork, black leather interior, car phone, flat screen television, Bose stereo, satellite navigation and a keyless entry and starting system.

Beckham then tested the 154mph motor on a specially built dirt-course in Madrid, driving French star Zinedine Zidane, 33, and Italian striker Antonio Cassano, 23, round the track - under the watchful eye of an instructor.

A Real Madrid source said: "It is a specially constructed track near our training ground, with ramps and plenty of steep descents to make it challenging.

"David insisted having a go at the wheel. Zidane and Cassano looked a bit nervous at first but David is a great driver and was 100 per cent in control the whole time."

Beckham's estimated fortune is £87million and earns £100,000 a week with the Spanish giants.

But he was loaned the Audi Q7 for the year for free - on condition he drives it every day to training.

An Audi source said: "Beckham asked for just about every extra possible on the car, bumping the price up by £20,000." L On Monday, it was reported that a gang of car thieves stole Beckham's [ £70,000 armoured BMW X5 while he was eating lunch with his sons.

Zfrk, The software fell into the wrong/right hands, allowing them to hack the code.

What people don't understand is that the idea of "software" is only a few decades old. Engineering Software is totally different than any other technology in that there is no current way to 100% test long, intriciate code.

Where there's access to software, there will be security holes.

see there are things I really am not supposed to talk about that can get you into the cars and on certain models of Acura's all you need is a key with a similar cut to turn the car on and not trip the immobilizer but it will only allow you to do it once so after the car is shut off you have to have a programmed key for the immobilizer which accepts a really weak signal from the key through the actual tumbler.

First i've heard of it.

The reason this is not going to be possible with the 7 series, and now the new 5 and 3, is because of the key system. If it doesn't recognize the key, you aren't even going to be able to trip the starter.

There is no proper code. Just like your remote door locks or secure Ids they use random number generaters. You would need to determine the equation of the random number generator. Then you would need to capture a sequence of numbers a certain length. Depending on how long the number is you could then use the seq to predict the number at x time and hack.

One of the articles said 20 minutes to crack the encryption. Which is why the theives followed him to a Mall parking lot.. Then went to work while he was shopping.
