What scale are they gis?

I have too much to make a list of. Lots of different scales, ranging from 1:18 to 1:87 (tiny, I know, but I have an F40 from Herpa in that scale of which both the hood and the engine bay can be opened and it even has engine detail!)

Nowadays I stick to 1:43, which doesn't take a lot of space and has detailing to match larger scales. I used to go to this bourse which is held four times a year near Utrecht with my dad. I think it's the largest in Europe. It's huge. Lots of people from the UK, Belgium, Germany, France and even Italy go there to buy or trade models. You can find anything there and (can't hide the fact I'm dutch, lol) for good prices as well. Too bad I don't go there as often anymore. So if you guys are interested in models I can recommend it to you!

EDIT: The NAMAC bourses attract about 4000 visitors and have over a kilometre of table length. http://www.namac.nl/pagina_beurzen_data.htm

i thought they were just like hot wheels. i know hot wheels just come straight from machines. the decals are probably done by hand though. otherwise if everything else is done hand i don't know how they spit out 25,000 models in a short period of time.

one thing i don't ilke about those low budget ones is the paint. they always come out dull. everytime my friend buys one, i just have to polish it up for him, otherwise i don't feel comfortable even tho its not mine.

gis, maybe you should go if you haven't found your supra yet

i'll be building the tamiya kit of the supra, so watch that. it'll be in telefonica blue. if you don't know the colour, search for the telefonica gp bikes. thats the blue i'm putting down.

Like I said, the paint on the BBRs is top notch! Cheaper models can't match it.

About the factories in China: I suspect they're big and have lots of employees. Besides, every worker is trained to do just one bit and not to assemble an entire model. They can do their job really fast. Just think of those little umbrella's for ice cream and cocktail drinks. They're handmade as well. They hardly cost any money and the output is enormous.

when did you start collecting?
don't you just hate the feeling that you started late?
i followed schumacher's career since 1992 and now i wished i've started buying his models then. they used to sell $50AUD and now they're all at least a couple hundred for the minichamps.

i also wish i knew they would go up in value, i would of bought a few senna, prost or mansell cars as well
