Default What are you doin as a job if you drive those cars???

I saw sombody have here a Porsche, sombody Corvette, Skyline, ferrari, Impreza etc. What do you do?
I guess most of you who have those cars are in business. What kind?(if it is not a secret )

Just curiosity and taking inspiration after comparing myself and some of you - at age 27 never owned a car my own (just driving company's Opel Vectra) and bunch of dreams of owning beauties as you do

hmmm...i'm not in that group but then again my car was purchased 20 years ago i work at Office Depot...selling computers. I'm damn good at it...and they pay me nicely! I make enough money to pull off an engine swap in the summer!!!! It'd happen a lot faster though if i was a drug lord or something...but ehh...what are you gonna do?

I was at Concorso Italiano in Monterey last summer and was talking to this guy that had #006 of like 8 factory twin turbo Lamborghini Diablos (I didn't even know they had those from the factory). He was in "the oil business" in Texas. The car was originally owned by some guy that started off-shore internet gambling, but got nailed by the IRS for taxes, so the car went up for auction. The guy I was talking with told me that he was bidding against Nicholas Cage for the car, until eventually, Nicholas Cage didn't want it as bad. So, I'm talking to this guy amazed that I'm talking to someone with so much money. But then he tells me HIS story.

Lamboghini had a special event that started in San Francisco that week with the Lamborghini club. And he met this guy who told him that he had like 4 Lamborghinis at home and blah blah blah, all these other super exotic cars. During lunch, this guy gets a call on his cell phone and CLOSES THE DEAL ON A NEW ENZO, right there over freaking lunch! "Have them ship it to Oakland and I'll pick it up there." This guy just bought an Enzo, and was having it shipped to the Bay via transporter so he could bring it to the show! I guess his Lamborghini was going home on the transporter.

So what does a guy with THAT much money do? He was the son of the guy that invented the Yellow Pages...that's right, the standard everyday phone book. He lived off royalties that he inherited from the phone book being published every year.

I know that the twin turbo Diablo is real because I was looking at it and I have pictures (plus there was one other one there being shown). The story about the yellow pages guy and the Enzo I don't know for sure, but that's just too crazy a story to be fake, and plus, why would the Diablo owner lie about that? In any case, it just proves that no matter how much you have, you want more. The Diablo owner was obviously wealthy, but he was envious of someone else who he thought had "crazy Hollywood money" when I'm there drooling over what he already has. Hey, I have a Fly Yellow Go-Ped.

I don't have a place to put the pictures. I had them on my free webshots page, but took them down (due to limits on the number of pics for free members) to put up some American LeMans pictures that I took during the fall.

I'll try to remember to put them back up in March when I have access to a faster connection again, I'm on currently on dial-up. I have some great pictures.
