Default My Ride...A 1998 Volvo S70

Ok, so after getting rid of my 92 Jaguar XJS, I decided I wanted something FAR more reliable...so I got a 98 Volvo S70. The car had 46591miles on it when I got it in 2001 and was in pretty good condition. It was Emerald Green (love the color) with an "Ivory" (light tan) leather interior. It has been a really good car only had a few things go wrong on it, most notibly the radio...that is a sore subject. I now have just shy of 120K on it which I will break this week. It is the 165hp california TLEV no-turbo version but still pretty punchy...

Modifications done:
-Bilstein TC shocks and struts (oh so much stiffer and responsive)
-Factory Fog kit
-Rear Fog lamp modification for symmetry
-Blaupunkt San Francisco CD70 deck (great head unit!)
-Blaupunkt IDC-009 5 disc in-dash changer (fit right below my deck because of the double DIN)
-Infinity Kappas all around (seperates in the front though)
-Zapco Studio 100X sub amp
-RF punch 8" sub in a band pass box
-Tinted windows (people keep saying the car looks more sinister at night which I dont get as it is still a Volvo)

Actually it is a non-Turbo. But a nice sleeper. I had a choice of a LPT or a non-turbo. The non-turbo handled better as the TRACS system seemed to do some wierd stuff on the LPT. The non-turbo was also in the exact color I wanted and as I am on the tall side I wanted the additional headroom you get without a moonroof. I was messing with a guy in a nicely moded Integra the other day. He could not pull away from me. Actually the Non-turbo accelerates to 60 faster than my Jag did. Just not the same after 60. LOL
I will see about getting some pics up soon. Need to go take some and post them on the web first. Prolly just put them in my yahoo briefcase...
I have a long list of things I would still like to do to it but it will prolly have to wait until winter...

As soon as you have pics, please PM me.. for now, to enforce the rule in the "sticky" topic, I have to close this one, don't be offended.. it's the only rule we have inside this section.

Default PICS FINALLY!!!

Ok, by request and necessity (LOL) here are some fresh pics of my Volvo. The pics were taken on my Sony/Ericsson T610 camera phone. They are kinda low res but you get the idea. Hopefully later on I will have a better cam to take more detailed pics. I have also put up a photo of my former 1992 Jaguar XJS. Note that they are infront of the same house. LOL.

Let me know what you think or if there are any problems with the link

Nope,I don't own a volvo.. But I'm will be looking for one soon...I'm want to buy an second hand 850 T5 or 740 turbo.I'm just a fan of volvos.I used to own a 1990 Holden Barina (otherwise suzuki swift) but I don't have the money at the moment to buy a newer car because I'm unemployed.

I can understand that one. I am not exactly working a terribly great amount right now myself. The teaching credential program keeps me pretty busy. But I do baby my Volvo. This weekend she gets a detailing. They are such wonderful cars. I would really like to get my hands on a 780 coupe, but they are hard to get in good condition.

Oh and thank you levensnevel.
