Apart from wether he's rich or not: you gotta like that he always takes a professional photographer on his trips.

Being a photographer on his trips would be a cool job for me, I like photography more than anything else. Yes, I prefer to spend a 2500 euros on photo material than on a car. If you are a keen photographer and you have a bit of luck you can earn a shit load of money with it. Until now I haven't had the bit of luck and I don't consider myself being a keen photographer so ..... 8)

I know that his private photographer used to use Digital Nikon SLR (D1 or Dx1) but that probably has bene changed over the years as well. A D2x is a good option for these guys
