I am someone that has owned and is quite skilled at riding "proper" bikes. With that said, I still find scooters fun to ride. Most men who don't want to ride scooters are those that think they will look like less of a man on one.

I have a bike license and have ridden scooters, they're not completely boring but a bike with a clutch gives you more control and is faster. What's not to like?

You can have 50 cc moped whit a 6 speed gearbox
And you swap the cilinder for big bore version 70 cc or 80 cc sometimes 86 cc
Btw a proper modded scooter can reach at least 120 kmh or more.

Believe me 120 Km/h+ is plenty fast for a scooter or moped

Yes, I'm sure it is. The only reason I could see for modifying a scooter is someone were restricted to scooters/mopeds because of their age. Otherwise you'd just do the bike test, and spend you money on a 600.
