He was fine untill he locked the rear brake in the water. It looked like it was deeper then he expected it to be.

Believe it or not, the water isn’t what upset the bike. What you have here is all user error. The water (and I guess the dumpster in front of him) spooked the rider which led him to slam on the rear brake locking it up. He had more than enough room to slow down under control.

He had it... until he grabbed for the rear brake.

Looks like he had some ninja skills with bike tossing him into a roll like that..

Yep absolutely, the water just scared him and made him slam the brake!
