Hi guys, once I see that the post lacks about the 80s hot hatches; Im going to present some of the my favourites hot hatches that it has existed, alongside a little description of them; here we go:

The Ford Escort RS Turbo: 132 turbohorsepower from a punchy 1600 with the typical front wheel drive MkI Ford Escort chassis

The MkI MkII Ford Fiesta XR2, and the MkIII Ford Fiesta Turbo; the first one a very exclusive car (in Spain its the most demanded so far), the second one good balance between performances/sensations/price; and the third one supposedly dangerous

The Samba rallye....the same spirit as the 205 rallye with 10cv less and quite lighter

the first versions of Citroen AX Sport; the equivalent of the 205 Rallye

[img=http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/7610/03ax20a20sportea9.jpg]

The Citroen Visa GTI; although it looks ugly for everybody, it had the same performanes as the 205 GTI 1.6 but almost half cheaper and even as exclusive as the 205

[img=http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/8959/01visa20gti85nl2.jpg]

The authentic FIAT hot haches: The FIAT Uno Turbo, the Renault 5 GT Turbo alternative; although its performances are very similar to the R5 it doesnt have its prestige

The FIAT tipo 2.0 16V; a discrete looking car but with explosive performances

Naturally; the Opel Kadett GSI 16V or the equivalent Vauxhall Astra; another suposedly dangerous car which I adore it; a very accomplished engine with a lot of power and sensations in low, medium and high revs (at the end of the day in any revs and gear) a so-so chassis with big traction problems, understeering and oversteering in an attractive shape with great sound

Of course, it main rival; the pug 309 GTI 16v; 160cv instead of 130cv from the same engine as the 205 GTI and about 60kg more; at the end of the day, even more exciting than the 205 GTI

And of course, naturally the historic renault hot hatches and hot saloons; lets start with the Renault 5 Alpine / Alpine Turbo; the renault 5 GT Turbo´s antecessor

Its antecessors; the renault 8 gordini and the renault 12 gordini; lamb looking wolves

The equivalent saloon but more current; the Renault 21 Turbo

And finally; as the Golf GTI was the first ever genuine GTI car, the Audi Quattro the first 4 wheel drive sporty one, as the 911 one of the firsts affordable supercars, the Lamborghini Miura the first mid engined supercar and so on; here we go one of the uniques sporty front wheel drive above 200cv, and without any electronic aid such as the traction control, stability control and so on.....The lancia Thema 8.32; a front wheel drive car with the Ferrari 308 engine

I think that the Lancia Thema alongside the R8 and the R5 are the most interesting cars to be mentioned

I agree with you that just probably the R8 and the Lancia are the only known by every JW supporter if we except the ford hot hatches which must be popular in the UK as well as the Renault 5 Alpine should be popular mostly in France and in countries which surrounds such as Spain, Italy, Switzerland and so on

And off course what we have to say about Jeremy's car...the SLK 55 AMG...

Jeremy drives an SL55, or he did until he made the mistake of getting a Ford GT which he has now sold and bought Gallardo Spider
