Default CLS 350 CDI

New BiTurbo V6 Power Diesel to debut this fall: CLS 350 CDI

According to insiders the CLS 350 CDI will have the newly developed 3.0 liter

BiTurbo V6 with 265 hp and 580 Nm of torque. Revange for BMW's 535d.

I'm not complaining. I was hoping they would come out with a diesel version.

It is a diesel version.....

It will be 7bhp less than in the 535d.....but more torque by 20Nm......

so the CLS 350 CDI has better torque at a price of 7BHP and i bet the MB is gonna cost much more than the 535d

since the current E320 CDI costs the same as a 530d.....

You have to keep in mind that the CLS will definitely weigh significantly more than a regular 5 series...

So the 20Nm isn't really, well, much.

Still a damn good looking car though.

I know this is a stupid question to ask here, but anyways, Whats the difference between Nm and lb-ft Torque. And if I want to explain someone What is Torque, then what should I say? I mean in layman terms, not technicalities please. I again apologise for asking this here, but as it was being discussed it just struck me.

Its a new episode of the hard battle BMW-Merc, and its going to be difficult to get which engine is going to be better

Anyway....for me its difficult to get which engine is going to be better since both brands are very brilliant when making diesel engines, in fact, one the one hand, the battle is draw; for instance the BMW is more powerful, and the merc has more torque......anyway......until today, the biggest difference between two engines has been the noise, that the merc is more silent, and i trust that the main difference between the two engines is going to be the in terms of silence, that the merc is going to continue being more silent, and softer than the BMW
