Last info : it appears that the 599 in 2 seconds slower than an Enzo around Fiorano

That`s very impressive for a car like the 599

dani this info was posted on fchat and taken from auto motor und sport magazine

well have to see if it`s true :bah:

BTW dani , empty is around 1580 kg , and let`s not forget it`s construction with the engine mounted behind the front axle , and transaxle construction , we have 47%-53% weight distribution.

Faster gearbox , new suspensions , probably they are using some hardcore tyres like P-Zero Corsa .

Auto Bild test

http://www.autobild.de/aktuell/repor...rtikel_seite=0

In the article they say that 599 is 1 sec slower than Enzo around Fiorano :faint:

BTW the test driver said that 0-100 in 3.7sec is a high value , actually the car can do it in 3.5sec

Oh my lord.... this car is just unbelievable!

1 second slower???? Thats not possible  It's either BS, or Ferrari has made some monumental progress since the Enzo. Just imagine how fast the next super-Ferrari will be :faint:

I know it sounds unbelievable , but hey , 2 important mags are talking about that :

AMS with 2 sec slower
AutoBild with 1 sec

Probably we should be taken around the track by Dario Benuzzi and time the lap ourselves

No V12 Ferrari is ever going to be slow, it's just a matter of degrees. Ringing the last tenth out of a a car to create somehting like the Enzo is a speciality of Ferrari. But it doesnt mean everything else is going to be miles behind.

wow thats pretty very amazing...has the (sports)car industry in general made such enormous progress since 2002 or is this new ferrari just soooo far ahead of all the competition?
i wonder what tyres they used, and how advanced the electronics on this car are...

Amazing. . . you know what? At first I didn't like the car at all because of the ugly lights and the proportions of the car. But looking at the moving pictures it has definitely grown on me.

And with those lap times, it has definitely won me over!

Time to start saving money .

[edit] Repost [/edit]

Nice pic:

Quote from InsideLine review:

The 599 GTBs headed for our continent's market will not be equipped with the "L.C." button on the center prop-shaft tunnel. Translation: Launch Control will not be part of the F1 transmission for North Americans due to potential abuse and the resulting anticipated legal concerns.

Lol!
