I have read that the GT does 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. That is Enzo and McLaren territory right there. Nice pics.

ive heard of stories of the GT pushing 3.3 to 60mph, but i havent read, or seen the data yet. i dont doubt that the GT could hit 60 that quickly with racing slicks. with pre production models, 3.7, and 3.8 are the numbers ive seen most, which are amazingly fast the only cars that roll with this one are in the class that costs more then 2x as much. go Ford !
the car is in production, set to make first deliveries Very Very soon.
check out my links in the American thunder video links Sticky
lowest number ive heard is 147,000$ usd.... mabey thats the R version without an A/C that costs 8,000$

all the magazine and webpages that have info on this car listed the 0-60 at either 3.7 or 3.8 but that isn't much of a different from 3.3

Thanx for all the stats & pics.
I don't think 3.3 is realistic unless they have messed with the gear ratios to make it a 0-60 demon, or you put slicks on...or maybe when the tests come I will be proved wrong.
Every time I see more info on the GT I like it more and more...I would never touch any other new Fords (exception: '03 Cobra), but the GT is wonderful, I would take it over the 360 and Gallardo based on looks alone...and the performance difference would close the deal. Go Ford!

hey mit5005, if you read the article; you will notice it was published back in either october, or november. the car that they preformed these tests on, as amazing as they are, IT IS A PRE-PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MUEL, not part of the production run in the least, and not one of the production models have been tested yet.
by the by, those tests were performed at a race track about 30 minutes from where i live, and goto school. i cant believe i missed out on that day...
i kinda feel like im repeating myself, as i never said the car could in stock form do the run to 60mph in 3.3. however, i do not doubt for one second that it coud with slicks. the numbers on all the pre-production models have been 3.7-3.8 as far as i know.
hope that clears a bit o info up
