I think Massa is trying out a one stop or a very long first stint in a two stop strategy based on his QLF3 times. Looks like Raikonnen, Alonso and Fisi are fueled pretty similarly. Michael's 1 second deficit can partially be explained by carrying a bit more fuel than the top three but most of it is tires fading as the temperature heated up towards the end of the QLF 3 session.

I think the Bridgestones are designed to work well in a very narrow temperature range and the performance falls off badly if the temps are higher or lower than the prediction prior to the race. I think the Michelins are less sensitive to temperature fluctuations - bigger sweet spot. Hmmmm
