Finally, pictures of my Jeep ZJ
well, i finally took a few pictures of my Jeep... its far from a sports car which i'd love.... but its quite practical
0-60 in the mid 9's
185 bhp
4x4 with transfer case
4 speed autobox
i live(d) in the building behind it...
the engine bay of course... fairly clean for a 118k+ motor. it runs flawlessly... and almost a year later at 132k miles.. she runs like the day i bought 'er
and strangest of all....
the Sec. of State randomly gave me this plate... 'under the ground'
below is the link to my 666th post lol
http://www.motorworld.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10096
edit:
ok, its time to update my ride for the official JW registry, including a costom shot.
and the costom shot
and, im going to bump this topic with the update

Oh its the 4.0 Laredo model , its very nice and fast , but fuel comsumption is really high , for a few hundred dollars more you can change to the 5.2 model , which has a lot more power and the fuel consumption is not very different

my dad has owned to 5.2Liter models.... a cherokee ltd, and a Durango... fuel consumption is nowhere near the same at the same velocities, and during accelleration. i get 24mph @70mph while the 5.2 gets 21mpg... the Durango gets 18mph @70mph... accelleration is far different, and towing copacities are as well... but...
the 4.0 has been around for over 20 years, and is practically bullet proof... many jeep 5.2's burn oil at the milage im running... i have yet to be able to detect any burn... of course, i do run Mobil 1 ... the 4.0 is prefered by almost all enthusiasts whereas the 5.2 is usually bought by people who buy cars before they run into engine dificulties :-\
by far, i am not saying the 5.2 sucks... my dad's Durango is pushing 210,000 miles... but it is having a lot of the wear problems one would expect. even at 100k less miles...
besides... why pay a few hundred more for a v8 when i can sell the jeep, and get that vette i test drove last week 8)

Well it's ok since the topic was posted ages ago when the custom shot was not really mandatory yet so now that he edited the first post with it we can add the Jeep to the registry and certify it

next time i'm in Detroit....you wanna meet up so we can re-inact that Jeep commercial with the Hemi Jeep beats the TT in a drag race?
I KNOW you wanna!!! LOL
nice. must be good for the brutal michigan winters
|
lmao!
definately up for a good meet, everso... bring a guitar too (or not, i have a few myself) i havent yet seen that comercial, so ill have to look for it
id love a good race vs. a TT... at least 'til 90 (km/h)
anyway, my engine is quite far from the new 5.7 engine... but with some video editing, we could make it look close
the car has been great for this particularly extended winter, and last years kalamazoo winter, even though i have the worlds worst tires with little grip to offer. i cant waite to update my own car; or add a second vehcile to the roster.
