Default 2006 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab

Its my new toy. Very very nice truck and its great.
Future mods include tinting, maybe some flowmasters or borlas when they become avaible. I cant find flowmasters anywhere. No need for a lift. I might get a front skid plate...not sure it its only 200 bucks.

Bought it brand new for somewhere around 29,000 - 30,000 USD with the ten year extended warranty. Got it a few months ago around Mayish.

Specs 2006 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab with the 6 foot long bed.

4.0-liter DOHC EFI V6 with VVT-i
236 hp @ 5200 rpm
266 lb.-ft. @ 4000 rpm

Unfortunatly its an Auto. (I do know how to drive a manual. Learned with my cousins car this summer )

Rear wheel drive. (Now I wish I would have gotten 4WD would make things alot more fun.)

18/22 MPG City/Highway

More Pictures coming as soon as I wash it again. Just took these right now.
Yeah I know its know super car or sports car but hey I will make my way up. BTW does anyone else on JW have a truck?

Thanks. And thats a good question. I will do some research. Best part of the truck is that I didnt pay a penny for it. My dad did. He is driving it right now but I get it when school starts. I have driven it around here and there and what not. Very powerful for a V6 with only around 240 HP.

Well I've got my Pathfinder and Nthfinity has a Jeep Grand Cherokee that's all I can think of. They are nice pickups but I would stick to American for a pickup...

It's the torque that's nice.. it has around 300lb/ft or so I thought.. it is a pretty big V6.

Tacoma sounds like a Native American thing.. They also have the Sequoia which is based on the Tacoma.

Congrats on the truck, but you should have gotten the Tacoma X-Runner

Ya I think my torque figures are wrong and it is around 300. When I open up the hood its freaking HUGE! We thought about the X-Runner but I figured this is more pratcital since it can easily fit 5 people and has a huge bed. I was suprised by the interior space for the rear passangers its like Civic or Corolla with a huge truck bed. Its our first truck.
BTW T-Bird I looked into other trucks as well such as the Titan and F150 double cab but I couldnt get it because of the V8. My dad like the Titan very very much but he didnt the MPG. Not like it matters to him but oh well. Oh also I was thinking about a Tonneu cover. My brother might order one for the truck.

You can always throw everyone in the back of the truck

You do know that the X-Runner can out handle a 350z right?

Well, in the right hands it could

It pulls 0.9g's in the corners and has a quick slalom..

If your worried about MPG you shouldn'tbe getting a truck period. I have a measly 3.5Liter DOHC VQ35 V6 in my truck yet I manage a decent 12-14 mpg on a good day yet my buddy with a 5.9 360ci V8 Durango manages roughly the same. simply because his truck works less than mine to get the same speed. the MPG on the sticker is bogus.

Yeah right 18/22 mpg, down hill maybe. But how much your truck actually takes?

Tourqe per Toyota says 266lb/ft
My truck has basically the same weight plus 150 lbs and basically the exact same power ratings I would gander take atleast 3mpg if not more from the rating, remember this is Toyota we are talking about they are pretty famous for over exagerating their MPG ratings. granted I have 4.11's and you only have 3.73's somileage is slightly lower but I can get up and go faster.
