I go every day on that highway to reach the University, I hope someday I can see that car
152nd anniversary is an odd one to celebrate

I wouldn't be suprised if this is real... the interior looks right.

In response to your statement Erez, why isn't the Ferrari 456GT Venice (the estate) on the Ferrari Website? For the same reason.... they don't need to put a cop car on their site, and it is specially commissioned for the police, just like it would be for a private buyer.

Is it so difficult to believe that the car is real  ... do you think the italian sites are in a conspiracy to fool the rest of the non-italian-speaking world...

...and in the US they have Corvettes as High Speed Pursuit Vehicles.

In the UK they sometimes have Jag's (in the midlands-Birmingham etc...) and they use Volvo T5's for motorways and in some parts they use Subaru Imprezas...(does anybody know of any other pursuit vehicles like this)

Last time I heard about it, in Switzerland high-speed pursuits are done in M5s

I'd like to have a Gallardo around here too

LOL here basically it's not a pursuit.. the M5 are disguised as normal cars, but equipped with all sort of sensors needed to record your speed.. they follow fast cars of course in places were there are no fixed speed cameras, only highway obviously.. they follow you for a while (there is a minimu required to be able to fine you).. and then they put the light on the roof and make you stop

it happened to my grandpa LOL.. but that time it was a Saab 9000 not an M5...

Dang...there are some lucky cops in Italy

Umm, where do I send my application for the Italian police dept? I hope they will accept an American... and I'll be sure to put on the application "I'd like to be put in the unit that drives Gallardo" hehe

I am a pretty big PS person...and it sure looks real to me...if that is PS, then a high-five to whoever did that, because its a good fucking job!

mmm... I don't think so. That Lamborghini is a case isolated.

The common Police here in Italy has:
Fiat Punto
Fiat Brava
Fiat Marea
Subaru Impreza Station Wagon (I think...)
One Toyota model... don't remember the name now...

The Carabinieri have:
Fiat Brava (again...)
Fiat Punto (again... booring...)
Alfa 156
And some olds Alfa models.

Those are the common cars I see every day in my city, not really dreamcars as you can see

"The newest car to be used by Italian Police is seen in this photo made available by Italian police Thursday, May, 13, 2004. This high performance 2-seater Laborghini Gallardo car, using a V10 cylinder DOHC four valve V90 5 liter, 500 Hp engine, can reach the top speed of 309 km/h (192 Mph). The car, received by Italian Police as a gift from the Italian car factory, will be used along highways in southern Italy. (AP Photo/Italian Police)"
