People that are using Vista please chime in:
How is it running? Stability will come, but what about Speed? What kind of hardware are you running it on?
Work's IT Dept. said that it will be clunky and slow. You will have to have at least 2GB of ram and possibly Dual Core CPUs. Also this will be heavily loaded onto the GPU as well a la OS X's Core Image.
If that is true, that will force people to upgrade.

I don't care what OS anyone is using. If a "theme" that is actually built in can start affecting its performance, then that OS is rubbish.

Ill b sticking to my version of XP for a while. There is a tool (Forgot its name) that allows you to remove unnecessary parts from windows XP installer. I got a copy of a "lite" version of XP. It loads damned fast! When windows is on the windows loading screen (the black one with a bar at the bottom that moves while loading) it takes three times of the loading bar to go from left to right and windows starts.
When I click to open programs like Words, Exel, etc, it opens up before I even release the mouse button. Really fast.

You need to send me that. My Window's PC can't even load Illustrator CS. My GF is running CS2 on hers, but she's got a seriously specced out PC... and even then, Illustrator CS2 shuts down (on its own) 4-5 times on her PC before it loads, and that's with 2GB DDR RAM, 3.6Ghz P4, 246MB NVidia card (that top o the line one), and 340GB HDD with 120GB free.
