Default Italian Grand Prix 2009 [potential spoilers ahead]

Qualifying

http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2009/818/6674/

Lewis Hamilton beat out Adrian Sutil, who had been quick all weekend, for pole position, with his last flying lap. Kimi Raikonnen third and Heikki Kovalainen fourth. Interestingly, Vitantonio Liuzzi, promoted back to a race seat for Force India, qualified a strong seventh, whilst Giancarlo Fisichella was down in a lowly fourteeth, a massive change from his pole position last race. Force India now looks to be a force to be reckoned with.

Race

A single-stop strategy for the Brawn cars ensured a one-two for Barrichello and Button, followed by Raikonnen in third. Hamilton was third coming into the last lap, but crashed. Oops. Sutil was a close fourth. Other title challengers Vettel and Webber had bad races. Vettel managed only eighth and Webber had an accident with Kubica on the first lap.
