hell

Michael just couldn't get close enough in the high speed sections.... finishing less then 1. second behind Alonso...

how many times did he set the fast lap? 5? nearly a 1:28 flat!

4 more races in the next 2 months, and 12 pts. to retrieve.... Monza is almost a guarenteed 4 pt. regain over Alonso... so basically 8 pts. in 3 races means it will have to be a Ferrari 1-2 with Schumi up front if Alonso maintains being a top 3 car.

Hell of a race, and real racing too, not influenced by rain and unknown tires and all of that crap. Amazing drive by Massa and I couldn't be happier for him. Seeing him up there on the podium choking back the tears, taking that 2-way champagne shower, ending up on the shoulders of the world champions, and finally almost breaking down during the post-race interviews, just amazing stuff to see.

Shame that Schumacher just couldn't get the most out of the car this weekend... From qualifying right to the end of the race, he just wasn't able to squeeze what he needed out of it. That safety car period, and then his turn 8 excursion, pretty much sealed his fate to be relegated to third place.

Nevertheless, fantastic late race charge, and great driving on both Alonso and Schumacher's part, and pretty much everyone else throughout the race as well. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

great race. It was exciting from start to finish. Massa's driving was great and Schu's mistake in the 8th turn and the safety car messed up things.
In the final 15 laps it was clear that the Ferrari couldn't handle that turn well. But theres lots of chance to retireve those 12 points !

you could tell schumi didnt care wether massa won or not im sick to death of him. i respect what he has achieved but i dont respect him he s just a cheat a saw loser and thinks he is above everyone else. alonso is a top driver a top man and a top competitor and deserves to win the championship.

after what schui did at monaco people still support him that just shows there glory supporters and he has cheated on more than 1 occasion look what he tried to do to villeneuve in 1997 to win the championship

EVEN THE DRIVERS DONT LIKE THE IDIOT ANYMORE

CUM ON ALONSO AND RENAULT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!!!!

What the hell... I can't stand the blind hate some people display, it's ridiculous. Schumacher looked pretty happy for Massa, and he was even smiling when he took his helmet off, probably enjoyed the racing against Alonso and giving it everything he had.

Give it up with bullshit like that, it's just flat out disrespectful and pathetic. If you want to bitch about someone thinking they're above everyone else, go look at Alonso during Friday practice where he deliberately drove up the inside of Doornbos and ran into him, even after the session had ended.

Fucking wanker.

what was he supposed to do ? jump of joy and hug the man 10 times ? Massas win was great but not as important as the championship... thats the deal, yes it was great, yes he drove great but Schu lost 2 points in the championship...

what schumacher does is all a front for the cameras yesterday in qualifying he didnt really congratulate massa for the pole and like the commentators say he was gutted he couldn t get past alonso and was so frustrated and annoyed. they also said that he was not happy with his result which is true.

he did what he did in monaco because he thinks he is above anybody else and thought he could get away with it because of who he is and because he drives for ferrari

Shit, I've seen Alonso look like he was ready to cut someone's heart out a few times in the post race interviews, he's far from being a happy go lucky jolly hearted fellow when he's doing poorly. The same can be said for virtually any driver in those circumstances.

Seriously blackenzo, look at what you're writing and just think for a few moments about how retarded it sounds.

Yay, lets let the media do our thinking for us!

Jealousy plays a large part whether they (drivers) admit it or not, and obviously when someone is that successful, conspiracy theories arise and so on and on and on goes the hunt for stories and dirt behind said successes.

And you didn't 'prove' shit all, you've just given examples of what any driver would do following a performance that didn't meet their expectations.

First off

Michael was gunning for pole, and messed up; has Felipe said "good work michael on getting pole" before? no, he's said "our stratagy is set up" or "blah blah blah the team" etc.

second, on Monaco...
After reviewing telemetry data from other items; i can extrapolate further on what i've said in teh Monaco topic.
when stopping from a higher speed, it will greatly affect the decceleration rate at any given lower speed.

aka: your stops from (as an example)
100 - 0 mph in 100 feet
120 - 0 mph in 130 feet,
but.... while 100-0, the distance is 110 feet during the 120 mph brake test.
and the lockup further provides evidence that the stopping distance was even longer then it should've been.

F1 cars dont work well at low speed, which even furthe is evident in that footage.

so really, anybody bringing up Monaco 2006 quali IMO just follows what they've been told.

IMO, the F1 Media, and owners have a clear bias to make the championship down to the last race to increase viewership and "excitement" and they will do anything/everything possible to do this.... particularly amid dwindling ratings for the past few years.
