Default Metric vs Imperial

I have no idea whats with the Imperial system..

In the words of Grandpa Simpson: "The metric system is the tool of the devil! My car gets 40 rods to the hogshead, and that's the way I likes it!"
wish I could find that clip

12 inches= foot
3feet=yard

I grew up using the Imperial (though no one calls it that here, its just standard or SAE) but after working on various European cars, I begun to like the metric system better.

only reason why I really hate Imperial is when it comes to tools.. how the fuck can you know whats 8/16 etc means?! doesn't 13, 17, 19 etc sounds more normal?
anyways where are the rest of the americans\brits or whaterver with the votes?
we're at 17:1

Metric all the way. It's the one I'm more familiar with. I also find it more congruous with the numeric system because it uses round numbers.
