Well - the rules state that each car has to take all consumables and supplies with it... NO support vehicles allowed.

So - if you want spare tyres or oil or coolant or tools etc - put it in the trunk, or tow it ina trailer...

Yes - and a true test of the driver/s.

The event starts... the cars get sent off on the current challenge at about 15 second intervals (or for shorter events 15 seconds after the previous car leaves the track) and then you pack your shit and leave...

The afternoon's event started at 4pm. The first car was done at 4:01pm - and packed up and hit the road.

That cars next event starts at 8:30am this morning in Topeka Kansas... ready or NOT....

So your car has to be setup for track/skidpad/oval/drag-strip AND street driving... you must have ALL supplies in/on/behind the car... and you have to get to each even on time and ready to start.

They will be hitting 7 stops in 7 days - each with about 16 hours travel between them - ending back at South Bend next Saturday.

I love the way Dodge has pulled out all the stops to win this year..

That SRT-10 (both car and truck) is running on "Manufacturers Plates" - and has so many Mopar custom items on it, it is probably more exotic that the Oreca Racing Vipers of old...

It pulled 1.1G on the wet skid pad according to preliminary results... I would say that is a pretty well sorted car (including tow hitch... )

Very very impressive numbers on that Viper SRT-10. its good to see manufacturer support on this event, however, it almost seems to take away from it a bit as well.

god... 1.1 g in the wet... i cant even imagine 1 g in the dry (just yet)

Yeah - seems the Viper incurred a penalty of sorts.

The current standings.

ok.. here is the specifics on that car:
That's Buzz Clarke's CAV GT40 pulling a trailer. He's running a pretty hot 351 (>500 hp) in front of a ZF transaxle. The car is new, and only a few weeks ago he was trying to get everything sorted out (looks like he did). There's some more info on his GT40 http://www.gt40s.com/ubbthreads/show...b=5&o=&fpart=1 and http://www.gt40s.com/ubbthreads/show...true#Post34297 .
From this thread: http://corner-carvers.com/forums/sho...threadid=16374
with lots of pics from the cc boys.
